Michael McMorrow and Pablo Rivière form a captivating duo that delves into Brazil’s rich musical heritage, blending jazz, bossa nova, and Latin influences in performances marked by warmth, subtlety, and expressive interplay.
Argentine-born guitarist, vocalist, and Samba Cruz Quartet leader Pablo Rivière channels classic bossa nova and MPB (Música Popular Brasileira): elegant nylon-string fingerstyle guitar with gentle syncopated grooves, lush jazz-infused chords, and refined restraint that lets the melody breathe—paired with warm, gentle vocals of measured phrasing and intimate delivery.
Guitarist Michael McMorrow traces an eclectic journey from Lounge revivalist roots with Project Pimento to vibrant Caribbean and Latin explorations in Apocalypso and Carambola. His melodic finesse and improvisational depth shine in Brazilian contexts, informed by years of education and performance.
